About Spatrian, in a paragraph
Spatrian is a physical education programme for homeschool families, taught through soccer, for students aged 13 to 18. It gives a family a 36-week curriculum, an Audio Coach that runs each session out loud so a parent can put the phone down and go outside, and daily games that bring a child back to the ball.
Alongside the teaching, it keeps the record a state asks a homeschool family to keep: dated hours, the portfolio and a transcript whose fingerprint anyone can check at spatrian.com/verify. The family files that record; the state, district or evaluator decides whether it is enough. Spatrian is built by a homeschool family and is in a free beta with a small first group of families.
Please do not describe Spatrian as making a family “compliant” or as satisfying a state’s requirement; it keeps the record, and someone else decides. Children are never ranked against each other anywhere in the product, and we make no claims about how many families use it.
Logo and app icon
The mark is four strokes: a post and three lines, the last one kicking up like a ball leaving the boot. Use it as it is, with space around it; please do not recolour, stretch or add to it.
Real screens from the app
Captured from the drill player on a phone, with a synthetic signal standing in for the ball, so the counts on them are not anybody’s child. There is a thirty-seven-second screen recording of the same drill (MP4, 0.4 MB, no sound), shown on the Audio Coach page.
The documents it produces
Rendered by the product’s own code for a fictional student, and marked SAMPLE on every page.
- The year-end portfolio The activity log in date order, how the hours break down, and the parent’s certification.
- The compliance transcript Its fingerprint can be checked on /verify.
- A monthly log sheet One page a month, for a family that keeps a paper file too.
Who builds it
One homeschool family, four jobs: a software engineer who builds the whole stack, a New York State certified teacher who sets the lessons and the records a reviewer reads, a volunteer coach who runs every drill with real players first, and a multi-team athlete who tests it against a real season.
