Paying With an Education Savings Account
How a family uses an ESA, a scholarship account or a state education credit to pay for Spatrian’s homeschool PE curriculum, and the paperwork that makes the claim.
Where Spatrian stands
Spatrian is not an approved vendor in any programme’s marketplace yet, and is not affiliated with any programme, so an account cannot pay us directly today. Families pay by card and claim the cost back from their programme, which many programmes allow for curriculum and online learning.
Whether physical education is an allowed expense is your programme’s decision, and it differs from state to state. Read your programme’s handbook before you count on it; we will not tell you it qualifies.
How to claim it back
- Check your handbook. Look for curriculum, instructional materials or online learning programmes in your programme’s list of allowed expenses, and for any form it wants with a reimbursement claim.
- Pay by card on any paid plan. Each charge is recorded with the payment processor’s own reference.
- Issue the invoice from the Funding tab of your family’s records: choose the student and the period, and Spatrian lists every charge paid in it.
- Submit it with your programme’s claim. Your programme can confirm the invoice is genuine at spatrian.com/verify.
What the invoice carries
- PAID, with one line per charge and the payment processor’s reference for each
- The item named as a homeschool PE curriculum, and the service period each charge paid for
- For a family plan, an equal share of each charge for each child it covers, rounded down so a family’s invoices never claim more than was paid; or the whole charge on one child, if that is what your programme expects
- A fingerprint that matches only the invoice as issued, so an altered copy will not verify

The curriculum as an item
Programmes fund by the student and by the year. On an annual plan, Spatrian is one item: a homeschool PE curriculum licence for twelve months, for grades 7 to 12, covering every student in the family up to the plan’s limit, with each student’s share on their own invoice.
Laid out for Arizona and Florida
The invoice comes in three layouts: one prepared for Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Account (ClassWallet), one for Florida’s Personalized Education Program (Step Up for Students), and a standard one for every other programme. A layout is how the document is arranged for that programme’s reviewers; it is not the programme’s approval.
Your state’s page says what Spatrian knows about its homeschool PE rules: homeschool PE by state.

Refunds
Any charge is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of it. If your programme has already reimbursed you for it, tell your programme, and an invoice issued afterwards leaves the refunded charge off. The refund policy.
